The beaches of Nosy Be
Also surprisingly charming, glowing under the tropical sun, Nosy Be is home to beautiful beaches that are remarkably under developed and still retain their authenticity. Below is a small highlight of Ambataloaka, Madirokely, Andilana, Ambondrona and Orangea.
|
Ambatoloaka : The small fishing village of Ambatoloaka is just 7 Km from Hell-Ville and has become the most popular place in Nosy Be. It is quiet with its main economy based on hotels, restaurants, night clubs, bungalows, scuba diving centers, vehicle rentals, all of which are at diverse prices. Do not forget to visit this lovely beach and clear, warm, blue waters which will entice you to take a refreshing swim. Opening to the Mozambique channel, the bay provides a magnificent view and will easily provide you with some astounding sunsets…. Don’t forget to bring along your camera!!

Madirokely : A few minutes walk from Ambatoloaka is the fabulous beach of Madirokely. The beach is the most animated in Nosy Be and every Sunday hosts a beach party in which hundreds of people, locals and visitors alike, gather to dance away the Sunday afternoon in the sun. This part of the beach houses several hotels and restaurants at affordable prices.

Andilana : Located 27 Km from Hell-Ville, at the north western tip of the island is the fantastic white beach of Andilana, which is without doubt the most beautiful beach on the island. The beach is dominated by the islands largest hotel which caters for the more affluent tourists, and recently smaller hotels, bungalows and restaurants have been built which offer attractive prices for the modest traveler.
